  • Environmental Science

    This camp will focus on how humans are impacting the changes in our environment. Throughout the week we will learn about different ways we can keep the Earth healty, green and sustanable through a variety of STEAM activites. We will do art projects using recycled materials, create our own renewable energy, and complete a variety of challenges to find ways we can improve and take care of our environment.

  • Amazing Race Around The World

    In the Around the World camp we will focus on a different country each day. We will try foods from the country of the day, play games from that country, listen to that country's music, and do crafts common in that country! The countries we will focus on are the France, Greece, Thailand, and Mexico.

  • Photography and Nature

    Become a “Forest Bather”! Tali Kimelman is a photographer who found her sense of well-being by taking pictures in nature. Being in nature can help decrease stress levels, heart rate, and blood pressure. Students will learn about several photographers who use the trees, plants and flowers as their subject matter. We will become photographers spending time in the garden and on the trails around our school. Students will learn about being present in the moment, appreciating the calmness of nature and how to take photographs to capture these beautiful moments. Students do not need to bring a camera.

  • Loving Literature

    Throughout the week we will learn about the different kinds of storytelling, create our own stories, and read a variety of books. We will practice verbal communication and use illustrations and creative ways to tell or recreate stories. We will write, use Talk-to-Text, or have a teacher or other student scribe our thoughts, journal entries, or ideas. We will also read a variety of short stories and encourage lively discussions about the characters, theme, plot, setting, point of view, conflict and tone.

  • Minecraft Edu

    Minecraft is one of your kid’s favorite games – so how can we make it educational? MinecraftEdu has created a variety of lessons to teach all kinds of skills and subjects. For this week, we will retain the magic of Minecraft while adding elements that encourage creativity and learning. We will start with a focus on coding and expand our Minecraft knowledge to other areas.

  • Paper Airplane and Things That Fly Camp

    July 16, 2018 July 19, 2018, 1:30 pm 4:30 pm

    In paper airplane camp, we will research airplane designs using a variety of sources, as well as create and test out different airplanes in several categories. Students will test out their creations by measuring distance, target, straight-line precision and number of total loops. Other items of flight will also be explored-think Frisbees, aerobies, kites...this is a wonderful way to combine math and science in an outdoor environment!

    Each day will begin with yoga and time to learn about mindfulness and relaxation strategies to calm our minds and bodies in preparation to learn. The rest of day campers will participate in a variety of games and activities inside and outside to build confidence and learn to work together as a team. Each day will also inlcude a different mini lesson on health and wellness such as nutrition, sleep, exercise and illness prevention. Campers will practice motor skills and learn the importance of healthy bodies and minds while having fun!

  • Pond Ecology

    July 30, 2018 August 2, 2018, 1:30 pm 4:00 pm

    In pond ecology, we will take water samples and look at the different organisms and life forms in the bodies of water around our school. We will also identify the types of plants and animals that live in our garden and wooded area. After we determine what wildlife is present, we will safely find ways to support their environment and make new animal friends! The week will culminate in doing a project that involves use of the scientific method and some exploration at Brownie Lake. Brownie Lake is just a short walk on the trail from our school.
